Novato Traffic Island Habitat
Creating roadside habitats with California native plants
supporting biodiversity connectivity.
Pacheco Valle Biodiversity maintains a model Traffic Island Habitat.
Located at the entrance to Pacheco Valle, a residential neighborhood in Novato, our model traffic island is surrounded by open space, thus expanding the biodiversity corridor.
Designed and developed by Novato resident Marcia Basalla to create wildlife habitat and become a template for others to use in their own communities.
